Former Minister of Power and governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu, has officially collected the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest the 2027 gubernatorial election. He pledged to deliver unprecedented development to the state's residents and indigenes if elected as governor.
Adelabu, represented at the event by his aide, Ajiboye Akande, obtained the forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja. The former minister emphasized his commitment to transformative leadership and inclusive growth for Oyo State.
Senator Alli Also Obtains Forms
In a parallel development, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who represents Oyo South in the Senate under the APC platform, also secured the party's nomination forms yesterday. He was accompanied by senatorial aspirants from the state, including Senator Yusuf Akintunde, who is seeking reelection to represent Oyo Central, and Remi Oseni, who is vying for the Oyo South senatorial ticket.
ADC Aspirant Unveils Development Blueprint
Meanwhile, Niyi Aborisade, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has unveiled a comprehensive development blueprint for Oyo State ahead of the 2027 election. In a statement made available to journalists, Aborisade promised what he described as positive change through purposeful leadership and practical governance.
Aborisade stressed that his aspiration is driven by a commitment to deliver measurable progress, asserting that leadership should be anchored on competence, preparation, and a clear vision rather than political endorsements.
