Aiyedatiwa: APC's Digital Registration Key to Party Growth, Credibility
Aiyedatiwa Lauds APC E-Registration for Party Credibility

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic membership registration exercise as a fundamental pillar for the future credibility, expansion, and strategic planning of the ruling party.

Aiyedatiwa Flags Off Digital Drive in Akure

Governor Aiyedatiwa officially launched the training and registration program at the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) Hall in Akure. He emphasized that party members must fully grasp the significance and challenges of this digital transition.

The governor stated that the e-registration aligns with a long-held vision of President Bola Tinubu, even before his election to the nation's highest office. He noted that what the President had always envisioned for party management is now being implemented.

"This is to tell you how important this exercise is. It is very important for our party, not just our party, but the leader of our party, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria," Aiyedatiwa told attendees.

He urged mobilisation through influence and encouragement, not coercion, and stressed that the process ensures equality, as all members will be registered under the same framework and within the same period. Aiyedatiwa confirmed he is personally leading by example.

Building a Credible Database for Effective Planning

The governor connected the initiative to modern economic drivers, stating that information, education, skills, and technology should also be leveraged to manage party affairs efficiently.

A credible digital database, he explained, will enable the APC to accurately know its membership, plan effectively, and strengthen its internal democratic processes. The registration window is set to close on January 31, giving officials roughly 33 to 34 days to enrol as many members as possible.

Echoing this sentiment, the APC National Vice Chairman (South-West), Isaac Kekemeke, addressed participants, highlighting that the electronic registration is crucial for fortifying the party's structure, internal democracy, and credibility ahead of future congresses and primary elections.

Support Group Touts Tinubu's Economic Gains for Re-election

In a related development, the APC support group, BTO4PBAT, has commended President Bola Tinubu for instituting what it describes as "sound economic policies." The group argues these measures are setting Nigeria on a path to recovery and have positioned the President for a successful re-election bid.

The Director-General of BTO4PBAT, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, made these assertions during a get-together for members, ward coordinators, and residents in Arigidi-Akoko, Akoko North-West Local Council of Ondo State. The event was sponsored by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

Adojutelegan said the gathering was primarily to appreciate unwavering support for the Tinubu administration. He pointed to the recent reduction in prices of staple foods like rice and beans as clear evidence of gradual economic relief.

"Nigeria is getting better every day under President Tinubu. A bag of rice now sells for between N58,000 and N65,000. This is a result of the sound economic policies of our President," the DG stated.

He urged group members to embark on aggressive grassroots mobilisation in the new year, sensitising Nigerians to the administration's achievements across various wards.
