The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has finalized arrangements to purchase the nomination form for its immediate past president, Lucky Emonefe, as he seeks election into the House of Representatives for Ethiope Federal Constituency in Delta State.
In a statement signed by the Vice President of National Affairs of the association, Tenyo Digbopho, NANS invited students across the nation to assemble at the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on April 28, 2026, to obtain the aspirant nomination form for its former president.
The association noted that the move recognizes Emonefe's outstanding leadership record, dedication to students' welfare, and consistent advocacy for youth inclusion in governance. According to the NANS Vice President, the gathering is expected to attract a large turnout of students, youth leaders, and stakeholders from across the country, all united in solidarity to demonstrate support for one of their own.
He further stated that NANS remains resolute in its commitment to promoting credible and youth-oriented leadership, stressing that Comrade Emonefe represents the aspirations of the Nigerian student community and the younger generation at large. The association called on all students and progressive youths to turn out en masse and be part of this historic moment as they take a bold step in advancing student representation in national politics.
