Former Chairman of Oluyole Local Council in Oyo State, Kehimde Olatunji Olaosebikan, has pledged to mobilize voters for a decisive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 re-election. He made this commitment while announcing his intention to seek the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Oluyole Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives. The declaration took place during the party's weekly meeting in Oluyole Local Council on Monday.
Donation of New Secretariat
Olaosebikan, who previously served as Chief Press Secretary to the late Governor Lam Adesina, donated a new secretariat to the APC in the council. He addressed a large gathering of party members, assuring them of his efforts to gather support across party lines for President Tinubu's re-election in 2027. He stated that Nigerians would vote for Tinubu due to the numerous reforms implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Support for House of Reps Ambition
The former council chairman solicited support for his ambition to represent the party in the upcoming election for the Oluyole Federal Constituency. He noted that many residents in the council have indicated that if he secures the APC ticket, they will vote for APC candidates in all forthcoming elections in the area. “Members of other political parties in Oluyole Local Council are already assuring me that if the APC gives me the ticket, they will mobilize their members not only for my elections but for all APC candidates in next year’s election,” he said.
Reason for Secretariat Donation
Explaining his donation of the new secretariat, Olaosebikan emphasized the need for the APC, as a progressive party, to have a better and more spacious facility for its activities. The new secretariat will include offices for the party chairman, secretary, state party executives from the local area, and spaces for other officers. He promised that if elected, he would ensure significant development for the constituency.
Development Plans for Constituency
Olaosebikan also pledged to facilitate education support, employment, and skills acquisition programs for the youth, as well as employment opportunities. Additionally, he said he would assist indigent students in furthering their education and provide necessary support for women in the constituency.
