2027 Election: Cleric Releases Prophecy on Presidential Race
A prominent Christian leader, Pastor Kingsley Okwuwe of the Revival and Restoration Global Mission, has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election. According to the cleric, a strategic misstep by Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, has paved the way for Tinubu's re-election.
Obi's Exit from ADC Seen as Critical Error
Pastor Okwuwe asserted that Obi's decision to leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was a grave mistake that will cost him the presidency. Obi recently became the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 elections, running alongside Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as his running mate. However, the cleric warned of a 'calamity' for the NDC, claiming that the Obidient Movement leader took the wrong step by walking away from the ADC.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Okwuwe stated: "This APC government that you see in presidency, in 2027, they are going to regain power. I repeat it: they are going to regain power."
Obi Denies Desperation for Power
Meanwhile, Peter Obi has clarified that his political ambition is not driven by a desire to occupy Nigeria's highest office, but by his determination to see the country work for its citizens. Speaking on the Nevon HQ podcast hosted by Rufai Oseni, Obi emphasized: "I am not desperate to be president of Nigeria. I am desperate to see Nigeria work."
He added: "I am desperate to see young people have a means of livelihood. I am desperate to see people stop stealing public money. I am desperate to see Nigeria work."
Other Prophecies and Reactions
This is not the first prophecy concerning the 2027 election. Earlier, Prophetess Bright Ndibunwa, founder of The Lord of Hosts Miracle Chapel, warned that Obi could be involved in a vehicle accident. In a video shared on Facebook, she predicted a fire stemming from a potential crash involving the presidential hopeful.
Pastor Okwuwe's prophecy adds to the growing discourse around the 2027 presidential race, which is expected to feature President Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against challengers including Peter Obi of the NDC and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
