A pro-Tinubu support group, BTO4PBAT, has urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of future elections in the country, describing the document as the citizen's most potent instrument for democratic participation.
The Director-General of the group, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, emphasised that increased voter registration and turnout remain fundamental to deepening Nigeria's democracy and ensuring that leadership choices truly reflect the people's will.
According to Adojutelegan, who made the call at the weekend, the power to shape the future of the country lies squarely in the hands of registered voters who show up on election day.
While disclosing that the BTO4PBAT structure is currently executing extensive mobilisation efforts across the country, Adojutelegan stressed that the group is focusing on grassroots engagement and voter education programmes.
The director-general of the group emphasised that the initiatives were designed to reach underserved communities and equip citizens with the knowledge needed to participate meaningfully in the electoral process.
Adojutelegan, appealing to supporters of the group to remain law-abiding and peaceful while working assiduously towards the reelection of President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as a performing leader deserving of a second term, noted that the administration's track record forms a solid basis for continued support.
The Director General further commended the minister of interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his consistent support and contributions to national development, particularly in strengthening internal security and governance systems.
According to him, the efforts of the minister are vital in creating the stable environment necessary for democratic processes to thrive.
He also acknowledged his own unflinching commitment to the president's re-election through the adequate backing of the BTO4PBAT organisation.
The DG, who maintained that there is need for citizens to remain committed to responsible and active political participation, stated that "your PVC is your voice. It is your power to decide the future." He further emphasised that civic responsibility begins with getting registered and staying informed about electoral processes nationwide.
