The race for the 2027 presidential ticket of the opposition National Rescue Movement (NRM) has gained fresh momentum with the entry of Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, popularly known as Fadojoe. The aspirant has officially obtained the Presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination Form of the NRM, marking a significant step in his bid for Nigeria's highest office.
The nomination form was collected at the party's national secretariat on his behalf by Reverend Emmanuel Olorunmagba, who represented Fadojoe during the exercise. Reverend Olorunmagba, who also serves as the National Director of Media and Publicity for the Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, confirmed the development.
Fadojoe's Previous Presidential Bid
Fadojoe previously contested for the presidency in 2023 as an aspirant under the Labour Party. His decision to seek the NRM ticket for the 2027 election underscores his continued ambition to lead the nation.
Consultations Abroad
Speaking after receiving the form, Reverend Olorunmagba disclosed that Fadojoe is currently outside the country, engaging in high-level consultations as part of his preparations for the 2027 presidential race. He stated: “His Excellency Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, popularly known as Fadojoe, is presently out of the country on consultations in different countries ahead of preparations for the election.”
He further explained that Fadojoe had paid for the form on April 16, 2026, and requested that it be collected on his behalf. “Upon his return to Nigeria, he will personally complete and submit the form in readiness for the party screening and primary election,” Reverend Olorunmagba added.
