Kansas City police confirmed that an investigation is underway after a team vehicle arrived with items missing. "We are investigating a possible theft of equipment from a team vehicle that arrived in Kansas City with items missing," police stated.
Authorities have reportedly detained two suspects in connection with the incident as investigations continue. British media reported that football boots, official tournament balls, and other training materials were among the stolen items.

The Football Association is still assessing the extent of the losses and has not publicly confirmed all the items involved. The FA acknowledged that an incident had taken place but declined to provide further details due to the ongoing police investigation.
