The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially announced that its 2026 recruitment exercise will commence on Friday, July 3, 2026. Qualified Nigerians are invited to apply for vacancies across three main cadres: Officer, Marshal Inspectorate, and Road Marshal Assistant.
Application Process and Deadline
According to the FRSC, applications must be submitted online within four weeks starting from July 3, 2026. The application process is free of charge. Candidates should apply exclusively through the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng. Shortlisted applicants will be required to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening exercise.
The announcement was made in a notice dated June 24, 2026, and signed by Deputy Corps Marshal Pauline Olaya, Head of Administration and Human Resources, on behalf of the Corps Marshal. The notice states: "Applications must be submitted online within four (4) weeks with effect from Friday, 3rd July, 2026."
Categories and Requirements
Officer Cadre
Applications for the Officer Cadre are open for Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders/Deputy Route Commanders, and Assistant Route Commanders. Eligible candidates must hold a B.Sc, B.A, or HND degree in fields such as medicine, law, pharmacy, engineering, nursing, medical laboratory science, or other graduate disciplines. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
Marshal Inspectorate Cadre
The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre is open to candidates with an NDC, ND, Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, or Community Health Extension Worker qualification. Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old.
Road Marshal Assistant Cadre
This category is for candidates with a minimum of three credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), including English Language and Mathematics. It is also open to artisans and drivers. Eligible artisans include mechanics, computer operators, plumbers, electricians, motorcycle riders, tailors, and drivers. Applicants must possess relevant trade qualifications and licences. Drivers and riders must hold the appropriate class of valid driver's licence. Articulated and low-truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years old.
General Requirements
All applicants must be Nigerian by birth, single, medically fit, and computer literate. They must have the required educational qualifications and professional licences where applicable. Male applicants must be at least 1.65 metres tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall. Pregnant women are not eligible to apply, and individuals with outstanding loan obligations are also excluded. Applicants must be of good character, with no criminal convictions, and must not have tattoos on their bodies. Applications must be submitted using personal email addresses and phone numbers.
