All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Borno South have raised N40 million to endorse and support Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume's re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.
Funds for nomination form
According to the party, the raised N40 million will enable Ndume to purchase his senatorial nomination form ahead of the election in the district, which comprises nine local government areas in Borno State.
Delegation's visit to party chairman
The Southern Borno delegation, led by Hon. Adamu Yamta, paid a courtesy visit to the Borno State APC Chairman, Hon. Bello Ayuba. Yamta said: "We formally today inform you of our decision and deliver our resolve to obtain the form for the senator to be re-elected and represent us at the National Assembly for the next four years."
Addressing stakeholders on Monday in Maiduguri, Yamta commended Governor Babagana Zulum for his selfless, people-oriented leadership and inclusive governance across the state.
Responding to Yamta's visit, the party chairman expressed deep admiration for the unity and caliber of party stalwarts and other personalities present during the collective visit. He said: "I am surprised by this massive turnout and even more impressed by the quality of stakeholders drawn from all the nine local governments of Borno South. Even members of the state party executive are here. Indeed, Senator Ndume belongs to all of us."
He noted that the governor's style of leadership also values every segment of the state, including southern Borno.
