The deputy governor emphasized that the journey is centered on service, responsibility, and creating a Lagos that works better for every family, business, and resident. Reflecting on the achievements of collaborative governance, Hamzat noted that while progress has been made, there are still opportunities to strengthen infrastructure, improve public service delivery, deepen economic growth, and enhance residents' quality of life.

Vision for Lagos

“We have made progress together, but there is still more to do. I am stepping forward with experience, purpose and a deep belief in the future of our state. We understand the geography and the history of Lagos, so it is just to project it better. Good things are already in Lagos. It is to make sure that the good things continue,” he added.

Hamzat described the exercise as another step toward a greater Lagos built on inclusive growth, innovation, sustainable development, and people-focused governance. He reiterated his readiness to continue working with residents, stakeholders, and communities across the state to ensure Lagos remains a model of excellence and prosperity in Nigeria and beyond.
